Glenridding is an ideal location in the hear of the Lake District, a recently anointed World Heritage Site. Not only is the village located on the shores of Ullswater, it also lies at the foot of Helvellyn, the third highest summit in England. One can stroll down to the shores of Ullswater, perfect for those with an interest in water sports, or choose to hike in the Lakeland fells from the doorstep. In addition to Helvellyn, the fells of High Street, Place Fell, Fairfield, St Sunday Crag and Dollywaggon Pike are all nearby and easily accessible. An array of village shops is just around the corner, as are a range of excellent pubs and restaurants (the nearest pub being less than 20 m from the cottage). In addition, Crag Close is just a 20-30 minute drive from Penrith, Keswick, Ambleside and Windermere.
